D for Diabetes - Paperback

Nine-year-old Annie and her family learn how to cope with the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. Annie learns of this illness after several days of feeling ill. Her mom takes her to the doctor only to find that Annie's blood sugars indicate that she is a diabetic. Annie learns about managing her disease with time spent in the hospital. After her hospital stay she then has to learn to deal with life as a diabetic.
